Special postage stamp marks EU's 50th birthday

To mark 50 years of the EU, the Bolivian postal service is issuing a commemorative postage stamp. The official presentation of the stamp will take place on March 27 at the stamp museum in the Communications Palace, La Paz.
The ceremony is one of those organised by the EU's representative office (delegation) in Bolivia to celebrate the anniversary and will be attended by the delegation chief, ambassadors from EU countries, Bolivian government officials and representatives of the media and philatelic organisations.
The stamp issue is yet another example of the importance Bolivia attaches to its political, business and cultural relations with the EU.
The EU is the main source of development grants for Bolivia.
