To mark the EU's 50th birthday, representatives of the 27 EU countries' consular offices in Geneva will join to open the city's Europe Day celebrations.
Speeches by the consuls and the mayor of Geneva will be followed by a children's choir singing the European anthem. A host of professional and amateur entertainers will then play out the cultural diversity of Europe on stage in front of the Reformers' wall.
Diversity will be the central theme of the afternoon, with regional fare on offer from different EU countries. The EU will host an information stand during the event.
