Ukraine - European Village: birthday tent packed full of history and knowledge for all ages

May 19 2007 in Kiev and Yalta will see the erection of a special tent to commemorate the EU's 50th birthday. The tents will house information materials of all kinds: posters, postcards, games, and quizzes, and will host a children's drawing competition on the history of Europe.
The main purpose of the event is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, in the spirit of “Working together!”. Visitors to the tents will be able to learn not only about the history of the EU but also the advantages of EU-Ukraine cooperation.
300 000 people are expected to take part in the event in Kiev and some 30 000 in Yalta, which will be hosting an informal EU-Ukraine business forum at the same time.
