Leonardo Da Vinci

It will be the biggest exhibition ever organised on Da Vinci. This event is part of celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.

The exhibition devoted to Leonardo Da Vinci will cover all aspects of his work (paintings, writing, techniques). It will be the biggest exhibition ever organised on Da Vinci with over 1,000,000 visitors following the phenomenon created by the "Code".

Subtitled 'A European genius', the exhibition will also showcase European research and technology. It will show that Europeans continue to be innovative today and share a common vision for the future.

  • The exhibition will occupy 3,000 m² in Brussels' Basilica (the 5th biggest church in the world). The event will look at all aspects of Da Vinci’s work (including techniques)
  • A new painting recently attributed to Da Vinci is expected to be disclosed at this event
  • Another painting of "The Last Supper" will be exhibited at the event for the first time. This particular work is contemporaneous with Leonardo's original and has therefore given rise to claims that it could be the work of Da Vinci himself.
