Conferences at University

Three academic conferencesdevoted to the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome in three Bulgarian university cities in April, May and June 2007. In parallel with the conferences, cultural events will also be organised.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Ivailo Kalfin will participate in a series of debates held in different Bulgarian universities to discuss with the students the future of Europe and Bulgaria’s place in it.

The three themes of the conferences are:

-         From the Rome Treaty towards the enlarged EU

-         Bulgaria’s integration into the EU Economy

-         Participation of Bulgaria in the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy - opportunities and challenges.
