Want to discover Europe? Travelling to Berlin, Prague, Brussels, Paris and other European cities, students of the Danish folk high schools will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss issues such as European values and democracy.
Mission Europossible is part of a bigger project involving another event, ‘The Europe Convention of the Danish Folk High Schools’ taking place on March 25. During this convention students will present 10 ‘theses’. Examples of such theses could be: “The environmental benefits of EU activities” or perhaps “Brits are the best rock musicians in Europe”.
During the ‘Mission Europossible’ journey, ten students from the folk high schools will assess the validity of these theses. The purpose of this 10-day tour will be to see if our common ideas, and our prejudices about the EU are valid.
A journalist from DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation), together with two folk high school teachers, will follow the students on their journey and help them examine and document their theses.
Afterwards, the output of this project will be made available to schools and other institutions in the form of educational material.
