“Greenwave” forest-planting action

Helping the environment by planting new trees! From April to May, volunteers throughout Estonia will celebrate Europe by participating in planting events, with the action culminating on 4 May.

From 25 March, the 50th anniversary of signing the treaties of Rome, until 9 May (Europe Day) tree-planting ceremonies will be organised in several member states, which will offer their citizens the chance to plant trees.

In 2004, millions of new trees were planted with the help of volunteers to celebrate accession to the European Union. The same action across Europe would stress the unity and environmental awareness of Europe.
