Europe day celebrations

Europe Day is the occasion for out-door activities and festivities aimed at bringing the European Union closer to its citizens.

This year the main festivity will be held in Turku in cooperation with Europe in Finland rf. and Europe Information of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The European Parliament Information Office will participate in the main events in Turku and together with the European Commission Representation arrange the traditional Europe Day reception and outdoor information activities in Helsinki. 

The celebrations have been a well-known tradition in Finland since 1995. This year, special attention will be given to the 50th Anniversary of the Rome Treaty.
