Tour of Europe – Paris ConferenceConference
In the context of its Tour of Europe, the Confrontations Europe Association is organising, in Paris, a conference on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and of the 15th anniversary of the setting up of Confrontations Europe. This event will include a debate on the draft of a new Single Act for the relaunching of Europe and personal contributions from personalities active on the European scene. Many figures will speak from the platform alongside Philippe Herzog, Chairman of Confrontations Europe, including: Jérôme Vignon, Director of employment policy and social affairs, European Commission, Michel Barnier, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Nouvelle République, Maria Joao Rodrigues, former Minister of Labour, Portugal; José Maria Gil Robles, former President of the European Parliament, François Chérèque, Secretary General of the CFDT Programme:14.00 to 15.00: Annual General Meeting of Confrontations Europe. Welcome by Pierre Simon, Chairman of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry 15.00 to 16.00: Round Table – Towards a new Single Act for cooperation and participation 16.30 to 18.30: Personal statements. These will be interceded by short films specially created for the occasion by young European filmmakers from NISI MASA on the theme of mobility in Europe. 18.30 : Music Performance of the Ode to Joy by 120 choristers of the Choir of Paris XIII conducted by Pierre Molina. 19.00: Drinks reception |
