African EmotionsExhibition
Celebrating 9 May and the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, the Representation of the European Commission is presenting an art exhibition on the theme of Africa. To celebrate Europe Day, the Representation of the European Commission in France is organising an exhibition on the theme of the EU and development policy, the EU being the largest aid donor in the world. With this exhibition, the Representation hopes to shed a different light on developing countries and on one continent in particular - Africa. Africa, in its many moods, is here the inspiration of three artists: Martine Camors, Etienne Van den Driessche and Marie Maurel, who will show their work, including paintings, sculpture, photographs, travel accounts and films. The Representation will also make documentation on European development policy available to visitors. 9 May - private viewing of the exhibition in the presence of Moussa Ag Assarid, writer, actor and Touareg storyteller; 10 and 11 May - 10.00 to 17.00 : Open Days 14 to 31 May: visits for schoolchildren, by arrangement. |
