Desiring Europe

The event is designed for young citizens living in Campania and also to those travelling in the region. Its aim is to spread a sense of belonging and participation as regards constructing the EU’s future.

The opening speech will be given by the Rector of the University “L’Orientale”. A round table on “The desire for Europe” will be attended by the University Professors Andrea Pierucci, Paolo Frascani, Luigi Mascilli Migliorini and Paolo Jedlowski.

Many cultural events are included such as:

A clarinet and piano concert “Waiting for Europe” by D’Alò/Insola, the movie “Europe Europe” by Lars von Trier, a short movies programme dedicated to Europe and organised by the Association “Il Cerriglio”, the movie “Europe does not fall from the sky”, directed by Italo Spinelli, a recital by Cristina Donadio “Returning Passions” and a musical performance by Marco Zurzolo.

During the event, there will also be a photo exhibition of Martin Devrient entitled “Mediterranean Styles”
