On Sunday 25 March, Vimercate’s local administration celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome signing, which gave birth to a united Europe in 1957.
At 10.30 am, a meeting commemorating the origins of the European Union will take place at Palazzo Trotti, in piazza Unità d’Italia.
The speakers will include Antonio Panzeri, MEP and Vice-President of the EP’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee, Maria Luisa Cassamagnago, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Paolo Brambilla, Mayor of Vimercate, and Roberto Rampi, Deputy Mayor and Counsellor of Cultural Politics at the Municipality of Vimercate.
