"Venti di Erasmus"Celebrating the Europe of youthYoung people
The University of Bologna is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Erasmus programme on 9-10 May, with an event which will gather together representatives of Italian and European Institutions, students, lecturers and the general public. Activities will take place in Rimini on 11-12 May with the “Erasmus village” initiative that will involve people in debates, exhibitions, sports, concerts and much more. The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Erasmus programme is one of the major events of this year marking the EU’s 50th birthday. "Venti di Erasmus" celebrates the most successful university exchange programme in the world, which has involved about one and a half million young Europeans and has strongly helped build up a common European identity and culture. This event is connected with the third edition of “Europe Day”, an event taking place on the same occasion in Rimini, involving high school students from the 27 EU countries as well as from Norway and Turkey. Programme of the event:9 -10 MayUniversity of Bologna - Bologna Official opening by representatives of Italian and European Institutions and round table discussions on examples of best practices. The discussion will involve students, professors and the general public. 10 May (evening)Darsena - Rimini “Erasmus Village” opening ceremony 11 -12 MayRimini Young people’s open debate on Europe and the Erasmus programme. The debate will involve several Italian and European personalities from the world of culture, literature and economics. Music, art, fashion, sport and entertainment will also be a part of the event. Students will have the opportunity to give free reign to their creativity by creating tales, films and artistic features. 12 May (evening)Special performance at the Darsena. |
