The traditional annual Vilnius Fair will be enriched this year by the contribution of the EU. Restaurants, sponsors, civil society organisations and EU embassies will take part in the event to be held in the centre of Vilnius (Gedimino Ave).
Local restaurants will serve a wide range of traditional national dishes from various EU countries and regions in the temporary pavilions to be set up on Gedimino Ave.
The event will include concerts featuring Lithuanian and European artists, as well as cultural programmes and numerous stands for EU embassies, European Cultural institutions and other EU-related organisations.
The European Fair is being organised as part of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, and seeks to promote European values and cultural diversity in an entertaining way.
