This conference gives an overview of the most important achievements made in the past fifty years through European integration. It also looks at current and future challenges facing the European Union.
The morning session will present the past achievements of European integration and the afternoon session will look to the future of the EU.
The conference will examine the significance of economic and political integration for Europe and Hungary, the historical events that followed the Second World War, the division of Europe, the questions of federalism and sovereignty, the protection of human rights, EU enlargement, security policy, sustainable development, the common currency and the Constitution.
