“TOGETHER” for the next 50 years

On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Hungarian EU membership and the 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, a conference will be held, focusing on European values in everyday life.

The plenary session and the panel discussions will concentrate on the role and responsibility of media, the importance and methods of EU teaching in schools and the significance of local communities in active citizenship.

Teachers, students, representatives of NGOs and journalists are welcome to share their views with the invited personalities and experts.

A speech from European Parliament former president, Mr Pat Cox, will follow the opening words from the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Ms Katalin Szili. Mr Péter Balázs, Hungary’s first commissioner, and Mr Szilveszter Vizi. President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, will also be contributing to the event.
