Debate on the future of Europe

Flemish students together with Members of the Upper House of the Dutch Parliament will open a debate on the future of Europe on March 9.

The special event is organised by the Upper House of the Dutch Parliament on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome (25 March 1957).

The topic to be discussed will be based on four main themes:

•  Europe as a community of values

•  EU borders

•  Economics and environment

•  The institutional future of the EU

An amusing programme, with the opportunity to participate, will accompany the debate. Well known international speakers will also join the discussion.
