The Identity of the Old Continent and the Future of the European Project

„To create Europe is first to serve an idea” - are these words of P.H. Spaak still valid today? The participants in the conference will reflect on the origin and the future of the European Union.

The conference will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome. Its objective will be to discuss the origin and future of the European Union and Poland’s possible role in the EU in the next 50 years. The following panellists are invited to the conference: Prof. Roberto de Mattei - Università di Roma, Prof. Roger Scruton – University of Buckingham, Alain Lamassoure – the European Parliament, Dr. Marek Cichocki – Natolin European Center, Dr. Paweł Milcarek – University of Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński, Paweł Lisicki – “Rzeczpospolita” Polish daily.
