The EU and Energy

Do we consume an excessive amount of energy due to economic growth and in what way should the EU select its energy supplies? How shall the EU secure its provision of energy and assure at the same time a high level of environmental protection? How should the EU act towards India, China and the US regarding the climate change problem?

The fifth in a series of nine lunch-time debates that the European Parliament's Information Office in Sweden has arranged together with the Swedish Riksdag about EU questions that are close to our everyday life, under the theme of "EU 50 years of cooperation". The lunch debates are all taking place in the Democracy Workshop, Västerlånggatan 1 in Stockholm, from 11.30 to 13.00. Registration can be made at EU50@riksdagen.se. For the debate on 12 April, registration must be made at the latest on 11 April. A sandwich will be served to everyone who has registered in time for the debate.
