Swedish transparency and EU membership

Is transparency greater in Sweden than in the EU? How has the EU affected transparency in Sweden, and vice versa? Has EU membership allowed Sweden to work with transparency issues in third countries?

The eighth of nine lunch debates that the European Parliament's Information Office in Sweden is organising with the Swedish Riksdag on EU issues pertaining to our everyday life. This will take place under the banner, "EU - 50 years of cooperation".

The lunch debates are all taking place in the democracy workshop, Västerlånggatan 1 in Stockholm, from 11.30 to 13.00. Registration can be made at EU50@riksdagen.se. Registration for the debate on 3 May must be made at the latest on 2 May. A sandwich will be served to everyone who has registered in time for the debate.
