EU constitution and the parliaments

What does the new treaty mean for the European Parliament and the Swedish Riksdag? What should the new treaty contain and what should be withdrawn? How can, and how should, the parliaments act before and during the international governmental conference?

The lunch debate is the last of nine which the European Parliament Information Office in Sweden is arranging, together with the Swedish Riksdag on EU questions affecting the everyday life of EU citizens. This will take place under the theme "The EU - 50 years of cooperation".

The lunch debate will take place in the first chamber of the Swedish Riksdag in Stockholm from 11.30 to 13.00. Registration should be made at EU50@riksdagen.se. For the debate on 11 May, this must be done at the latest on 10 May. A sandwich will be served to everyone who has registered on time.
