Europeanvibes art competition calls for young people to express their perceptions of Europe.

Europeanvibes is an internet exchange platform set up by the youth association JEF (Young European Federalists), offering young people a space to share their ideas and views on Europe. The site is currently hosting a competition inviting Europeans to portray their daily life and future hopes as European citizens through photos, videos and songs. Those taking part are encouraged to imagine their life in an ever more united Europe. The first selection of entries is already taking place online, and visitors to the Europeanvibes website can post comments, discuss the entries and vote for their favourite.

The deadline for entries is July 20. The best will form part of an itinerant exhibition starting in Brussels and covering the whole of the EU. The ‘JEF Europe’ European Congress in Copenhagen is set to close the event on October 21.

Europeanvibes is part of a larger EU campaign ‘Speak up Europe’, which encourages online and face-to-face debate – combining the impact of web tools and local and national events – with the aim of giving vital feedback to European decision-makers
